This character is a spellcaster with strong Destruction spells who can also survive long enough in melee to finish off enemies with the enchanted blades he'll create, the Bound Blades he'll summon, and the magic blades he finds in loot.

Shifting to Blade gives him time to regenerate Magicka for his next spell attacks. It's a fun, active, risky mage play style.

of 40 is pretty close to getting the Journeyman spells that are so sweet for this skill. The pure mage, however, lacks the attack and armor skills needed to exploit the magical items found in mid-game and late-game loot, and dies when he lets more than one or two enemies get close to him.

A very strong pure mage, with few weaknesses. The Breton resistance to Magicka compensates partially for the terrible weakness to Magicka for the birthsign. Illusion was chosen over Blade because a start value

Our lootsweeper is optimized to breeze through the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quest lines with flying colors, making friends and rich profits in the process. The Shadow birthsign's long-duration Invisibility solves most key quest she can't finish quickly and quietly, and she'll have to go around rather than through any creature that hasn't got a valuable ingredient drop. This bushwhacker is a hunter and a looter, not a thief. Ranged sneak attacks and one-shot kills are his bread and butter. Alchemy lets him make poisons to add punch to his ranged attacks. With Illusion, he can Frenzy enemies into other and can supplement his stealth skills with Chameleon. Conjuration gives him Bound Blades and especially the Bound Bow, in addition to low-power summonings. When all else fails, he stands and fights with a blade. This is a slow-paced, deliberate predator, without any of the wealth-harvesting abilities of a true thief.
